QUALITY POLICY OF THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE

FOR POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS

 

 

The Quality Policy of the MSc program "Physical Principles of Biomedical Imaging and Radiation Protection" of the Department of Medicine is fully aligned with the Institutional Quality Assurance Policy (Decision of the Rector’s Council, meeting 168/12-10-2021) and the Quality Policy of the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences for the Undergraduate Program.

The Quality Policy of the MSc program "Physical Principles of Biomedical Imaging and Radiation Protection" is publicly available and disseminated to all involved members to ensure that both academic and administrative staff, as well as students, take responsibility for quality assurance according to their respective roles.

Specifically, the MSc program "Physical Principles of Biomedical Imaging and Radiation Protection" is committed to providing high-quality education to its students and advancing knowledge and research in its fields of expertise. The program adheres to ethical principles that serve societal needs while fostering:

  • An open and free academic environment

  • High-level research

  • Quality assurance of faculty teaching and research excellence

  • Collaborations with national and international educational and research institutions

The MSc program "Physical Principles of Biomedical Imaging and Radiation Protection" commits to implementing a Quality Policy that:

  • Supports the academic identity and direction of the curriculum

  • Defines, implements, and monitors quality objectives

  • Determines the means, actions, and strategies for achieving these objectives

  • Applies appropriate internal and external quality assurance procedures for continuous improvement

The successful implementation of the Quality Policy in the MSc program requires adherence to quality assurance procedures that ensure:

  • The continuous improvement of the curriculum, teaching, research, and administrative operations

  • The suitability of the structure and organization of the MSc program

  • The achievement of learning outcomes and qualifications according to the European and National Qualifications Frameworks for Higher Education

  • The integration of teaching and research, incorporating market and industry needs

  • The establishment of an Alumni Network for strengthening the MSc program’s identity and societal impact

  • The enhancement of teaching quality and effectiveness

  • The promotion of faculty research excellence in the MSc program "Physical Principles of Biomedical Imaging and Radiation Protection"

  • The competence and qualifications of faculty members

  • The provision of modern, high-quality, and digitally advanced services

  • The annual internal evaluation of the MSc program within the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) in collaboration with the OMEA (Internal Evaluation Team) of the Department of Medicine and the MODIP (Quality Assurance Unit) of the Institution
