International Collaborations

The MSc Programme maintains active international academic and research collaborations with leading universities and research centres abroad, strengthening its international profile and connecting postgraduate education with cutting-edge research in Biomedical Imaging, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Molecular Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and Artificial Intelligence.

Within this framework, collaborations have been established with King’s College London, through the Centre for Neuroimaging Sciences and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN); with Weill Cornell Medicine – Cornell University, through Prof. Nikolaos Karakatsanis and his research activities in advanced PET and PET/MR imaging; and with the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), through Prof. Christos Davatzikos and the Center for Biomedical Image Computing & Analytics (CBICA). In parallel, the MSc Programme is developing collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), further strengthening international networking and the exchange of scientific expertise in Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Protection, and the medical applications of ionizing radiation.

These collaborations provide MSc students with the opportunity to engage with internationally recognised scientists and research groups, gain exposure to state-of-the-art methodologies and technologies, participate in educational and research activities, and develop postgraduate research projects within an international scientific environment.

At the same time, the Programme’s international network facilitates joint research initiatives, exchange of expertise, scientific publications, academic visits, and student and staff mobility, supported, where applicable, by existing institutional agreements and the Erasmus+ framework.
